Pr. Talal Makdessi - SR Personlaity
Former Minister for Information, H.E Mr. Ghazi Aridi awarded the SEA Award to Dr. Talal El Makdessi, Chairman and CEO of Tele Liban, in tribute to his efforts to move the national television from clinical death to an active participant in the media field, as well as saving the national archive and the country’s memory from oblivion. The Award also pays tribute to El Makdessi’s contribution to social welfare through his charitable activities with the elderly, orphans and prisoners.
The Award was presented during a ceremony hosted by "First Protocol", which took place at Casino du Liban in front of a large crowd of politicians, economists and media figures; the event was broadcast on MTV.
“It’s not strange for a man to be awarded in his own country and while he is still alive; what’s strange and surprising is for him to be honored for doing his duty. I want to thank "First Protocol" for this honor, which shows that our country is still going strong and we will not lose hope,” said El Makdessi in his speech.
